Website Privacy & Cookies

The section above describes how we handle customer financial information under federal law (Regulation S-P, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act). This section covers website visitor data — what we collect when you browse ferrantecapitaladvisers.com, the cookies we set, and the rights you have under state consumer privacy laws.

Information we collect when you visit our website

  • Page-view analytics (Google Analytics 4) — only if you grant analytics consent via our cookie banner. Includes page URL, referring URL, approximate location (city/region from IP), device and browser type. Configured with IP anonymization.
  • Server logs (Cloudflare) — IP address, request timestamp, user agent. Used for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics. Retained 30 days.
  • Form submissions — if you submit a contact or scheduling form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, message). This data is processed for the purpose you submitted it.

Cookies and tracking

  • Strictly necessary cookies (always on): your cookie consent preference, basic site functionality.
  • Analytics cookies (consent-gated): Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_* cookies only after you click "Accept all" on the banner. We do not use these for advertising.
  • We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, programmatic-advertising trackers, or third-party retargeting pixels.

You can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Manage cookies" preferences modal accessible from your browser.

Sub-processors for the website

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS, CDN, Pages hosting, edge security.
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — analytics, loaded only after consent.
  • Google Search Console — receives aggregate, pre-aggregated search-query and impression data directly from Google; no PII transferred from our site.

Customer relationship data (clients, prospects, advisor communications) is handled under the federal financial-privacy regime described above and is not shared with website analytics providers.

State consumer privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA)

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have the following rights with respect to the website-visitor data described in this section:

  • Right to know / access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you as a website visitor.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of website-visitor data.
  • Right to correct — correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to opt out of "sale" or "share" — under California's broad definition, loading Google Analytics may be considered "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" even though we do not use the data for advertising. To opt out, click "Reject all" on the cookie banner, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser — we honor GPC automatically and will treat the request as a permanent opt-out.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny services or change pricing based on your exercise of these rights.
  • Right to appeal (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut) — if we deny a privacy request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email; we will respond within 60 days.
  • Authorized agent — you may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf with written, signed permission and verifiable identity.

To exercise these rights regarding website-visitor data, email info@ferrantecapitaladvisers.com with the subject line "Website Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days (with a possible 45-day extension where law permits).

Note: Rights regarding customer financial information (held under Reg S-P / GLBA) follow a different process — please see the financial-privacy sections above or contact your Financial Advisor.

Children's privacy

The website is intended for adults considering financial advisory services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
